Bob Walk Autographs

Bob WalkBob Walk is a former Major League Baseball pitcher born on November 26, 1956, in Huntington, West Virginia. Walk played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, and New York Yankees during his 14-year career. He played college baseball at Huntington High School and later played for the West Virginia Mountaineers, where he was named the Southern Conference Player of the Year in 1976.
Walk was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the second round of the 1976 Major League Baseball draft. He made his major league debut on April 25, 1980, and played with the Phillies for five seasons. In 1985, Walk signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he played for nine seasons. He was an important part of the Pirates' pitching rotation, helping the team win three National League East division titles, two National League pennants, and a World Series championship in 1990.
During his career, Walk had a record of 105-81, with an ERA of 4.03, 1,091 strikeouts, and 20 complete games. He was known for his ability to pitch deep into games and for his control on the mound. After retiring from baseball, he worked as a commentator for the Pittsburgh Pirates and is still considered a beloved figure in the city.
