Bobby Etheridge Autographs
Bobby Etheridge is a retired American professional baseball player who played as an outfielder. He was born on November 20, 1944, in Kinston, North Carolina. Etheridge grew up in a baseball-loving family, and his love for the sport started at a young age. He played baseball at Kinston High School, where he was a standout player. In 1963, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers, but he chose not to sign with them and opted to enroll in East Carolina University.
After college, Etheridge played minor league baseball for four years before getting his first big break in 1969. That year, he was called up to the major league by the New York Yankees. Etheridge played for the Yankees from 1969 to 1971, and he later played for the Milwaukee Brewers in 1972. Over his four-year career, he played in 148 games, had 327 at-bats, and hit .233 with six home runs, 35 RBIs, and 12 stolen bases. Etheridge's baseball career ended abruptly in August 1972, when he suffered a career-ending injury.
Despite his relatively brief career, Etheridge's impact on baseball was significant. He was known for his speed and his ability to cover ground in the outfield. He was also a reliable hitter who could hit for both power and average. Etheridge's love for baseball did not end with his playing days. He stayed involved in baseball as a coach and instructor, helping to develop young players and passing on his knowledge of the game.
