Bobby Knoop Autographs

Bobby KnoopBobby Knoop was born on October 18, 1938, in Sioux City, Iowa, and is a former professional baseball player. He played for 12 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a second baseman for four different teams. Knoop made his MLB debut in 1964 with the Los Angeles Angels, where he spent seven seasons and established himself as one of the best second basemen in the league.
During his time with the Angels, Knoop was a three-time All-Star and won three Gold Glove awards for his exceptional fielding skills. He was also an integral part of the team's success in the late 60s, helping them reach the American League Championship Series in 1979. Knoop played for the Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals before retiring in 1975 with a career batting average of .236, 56 home runs, and 513 runs batted in.
After his playing career, Knoop remained involved in baseball as a coach and manager. He served as a first-base coach for the Angels in the 1980s before becoming a minor league manager for the Baltimore Orioles. Knoop also managed in the independent Golden Baseball League and later became a hitting instructor in the Minnesota Twins organization. In recognition of his contributions to the game, Knoop was inducted into the Angels Hall of Fame in 2019.
