Bobby Seay was born on June 20, 1978, in Sarasota, Florida. He was a left-handed pitcher who spent eight seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) as part of five different teams. After graduating from Sarasota High School in 1996, Seay was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the first round, but he elected to attend college instead. One of the highlights of Seay's career was his role in the Detroit Tigers' 2006 American League Championship title. He appeared in seven playoff games, earning a win in Game 4 of the American League Division Series against the New York Yankees. Seay also pitched for Team USA in the 2009 World Baseball Classic tournament. Seay retired from baseball in 2012 after being released by the Los Angeles Angels.
