After the Colorado Rockies selected Hawpe in the 11th round of the 2000 Major League Baseball draft, he steadily climbed through the ranks of the team's Minor League system. Hawpe made his Major League debut with the Rockies in 2004, playing primarily as an outfielder. He quickly became one of the team's most reliable hitters, earning two National League Player of the Week awards and making the All-Star team in 2007. Over the course of his Major League Baseball career, Hawpe played for several teams, including the Tampa Bay Rays, San Diego Padres, and Texas Rangers, but he is best known for his time with the Colorado Rockies.

Throughout his career, Hawpe was known for his powerful batting, typically hitting close to .300 with 20-30 home runs per season. Despite his many accomplishments, Hawpe retired from baseball in 2014 to focus on spending time with his family. Today, he uses his experience to mentor young athletes, hoping to inspire the next generation of baseball players to follow in his footsteps. Read even more about Brad Hawpe at Wikipedia
