Brad LincolnBrad Lincoln is a former professional baseball player from the United States. Born on May 25, 1985, in Lake Jackson, Texas, Lincoln began playing baseball at an early age. He first gained national attention in his high school years, where he was a standout player for Brazoswood High School in Texas. Following his high school graduation, Lincoln committed to play college baseball at the University of Houston.
During his time at the University of Houston, Brad Lincoln was an All-American pitcher, compiling a 25-12 record with a 2.72 ERA over three seasons. He was also named the Conference USA Pitcher of the Year in 2006. Lincoln was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the first round of the 2006 Major League Baseball draft. He made his major league debut on June 9, 2010, against the Washington Nationals. He played for the Pirates until 2012, when he was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays. He also played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Dodgers before retiring in 2017.
Over his six-year MLB career, Brad Lincoln had a record of 9-11 with a 4.74 ERA in 97 games, including 22 starts. While his career may not have lived up to the expectations that come with being a first-round draft pick, Lincoln was known for his work ethic and commitment to the game. His success at the college level and his time in the major leagues have solidified Brad Lincoln's place in the history of baseball, and he remains a respected figure in the sport.
