Wood spent several years in the minor leagues, honing his skills and working his way up the ranks of the Angels' farm system. He was known for his power hitting and his ability to play multiple positions on the field. He made his MLB debut with the Angels in 2007 and appeared in 31 games that season. Over the next few years, he split his time between the minors and the majors, struggling to find consistent success at the plate. Despite his struggles, he remained a highly regarded prospect within the Angels' organization and was even dubbed the "next Troy Glaus" by some baseball analysts.

Unfortunately, Wood was never able to live up to the hype surrounding his potential. He struggled to hit consistently at the major league level and was eventually released by the Angels in 2011. He played briefly for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Colorado Rockies before retiring from professional baseball in 2014. Despite his underwhelming MLB career, Wood continued to play baseball in independent leagues and winter leagues, demonstrating his love for the game. He currently works as a scout for the Angels, the team that drafted him and gave him his start in professional baseball. Read even more about Brandon Wood at Wikipedia
