Brett Wallace is a retired American professional baseball first baseman, who played in the Major Leagues for eight seasons. Born in Marin County, California in 1986, Wallace attended Justin-Siena High School in Napa, California, where he played on the school's baseball team. He was highly recruited in high school and went on to play college baseball at Arizona State University. While at ASU, Wallace was named the Pac-10 Conference Player of the Year twice. Wallace was drafted in the first round of the 2008 MLB Amateur Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals. He made his Major League debut with the Cardinals in 2010, but was quickly traded to the Houston Astros. It was with the Astros where Wallace had the most success in his MLB career. He hit .259 with 29 home runs and 106 RBI's in 181 games with the team. Following his time with the Astros, Wallace played for the Baltimore Orioles, Toronto Blue Jays, and San Diego Padres, before retiring in 2016. Throughout his career, Wallace was known for his powerful left-handed swing and his ability to draw walks, which led to a high on-base percentage.

Off the field, Wallace is known for his philanthropic work. He has been involved in several charitable organizations, including the Strike 3 Foundation, which raises money for pediatric cancer research. In addition to his charity work, Wallace has also been an advocate for Mental Health Awareness, sharing his own experiences with anxiety and depression.
