Brian Burres Autograph

Brian Burres was born on April 8, 1981, in Oregon City, Oregon. He attended Sam Barlow High School before moving on to play college baseball at Mount Hood Community College. In 2000, he was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 31st round but opted to continue playing at college. In 2001, the Giants selected Burres again, but this time in the 31st round. Burres spent the next several years working his way through the minor leagues, playing for several different teams within the Giants' organization. In 2006, he made his Major League Baseball debut, earning a spot as a member of the Giants' bullpen. Over the next few years, he played for several different teams, including the Baltimore Orioles, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Toronto Blue Jays. In 2013, he signed with the Cincinnati Reds but missed the entire season due to injury.

Throughout his career, Burres was known for his consistency and durability as a pitcher, often logging significant innings for his teams. He was also a valuable mentor to younger players and a beloved presence in the clubhouse. After retiring from baseball, Burres became a pitching coach at Rock Creek High School in Oregon.
