C.J. Nitkowski Autographs
C.J. Nitkowski is a retired professional baseball player who was born on March 9, 1973 in Suffern, New York. He played five seasons in the major league as a left-handed pitcher. Nitkowski was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the first round of the 1994 amateur draft as the ninth overall pick. He completed his debut season in 1995 with a 2-2 record and 3.47 ERA in nine starts. Nitkowski later played for the Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers, Washington Nationals, and was an All-Star in 1999.
Nitkowski finished his 10-year career with a record of 18-32 and a 5.37 ERA in 506 appearances. His best season came in 1999 while he was with the Detroit Tigers, where he had a record of 5–1 and a 2.17 ERA. During his college years, Nitkowski attended St. John's University and played for the Red Storms. In 1993, he won the Big East Pitcher of the Year for his college team.
After his retirement, Nitkowski became a baseball analyst and writer for FOX Sports, ESPN, and Forbes. He also co-created the podcast "Starting 9" and hosts the "Corked Up" podcast with his wife, Jenny.
