Carl EverettCarl Everett is a former American baseball player, born on June 3, 1971, in Tampa, Florida. He started his professional baseball career in 1990, with the New York Yankees' organization as a first-round draft pick. After that, he spent some time in the minor leagues, and eventually played his first Major League Baseball (MLB) game with the Florida Marlins in 1993. He mainly played as an outfielder during his career, and had a strong arm and excellent defensive skills. Over the years, he played for several teams, including the Houston Astros, Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers, and Seattle Mariners.
Throughout his career, Carl Everett was known for his powerful swing and his ability to hit hard line drives. He was also known for his controversial behavior on and off the field, and often got into trouble with umpires and teammates. In 2000, he had his best year with the Boston Red Sox, hitting .300 with 34 home runs and 108 RBIs. That year, he was selected to the All-Star Game, and helped lead the Red Sox to the playoffs.
During his 14-year career, Carl Everett played in more than 1,500 games and had a batting average of .271. He hit 202 home runs, had 792 RBIs, and stole 154 bases. He won a Gold Glove Award in 1999 for his outstanding defensive skills, and was also a two-time All-Star (2000 and 2003). Despite his controversies, Everett is remembered as a talented player who contributed to the success of several teams he played for.
