Carlos Guillen, born on September 30, 1975, is a former Venezuelan baseball player who spent most of his career playing in the Major League Baseball (MLB). Guillen's stint with the Mariners was perhaps the most productive of his career. He spent eight seasons with the team, during which he was named an All-Star three times, won the Silver Slugger Award once, and earned a Gold Glove at shortstop in 2007.

After leaving the Mariners, Guillen played for the Detroit Tigers for six seasons. With the Tigers, he again earned an All-Star selection, a Silver Slugger Award, and a Gold Glove. In 2006, he helped lead the team to the World Series, where they lost to the St. Louis Cardinals.
