Casey Kotchman Autographs
Casey Kotchman was born on February 22, 1983, in St. Petersburg, Florida. From an early age, baseball was in his blood. His father, Thomas Kotchman, was a baseball scout and manager, while his brother Scott Kotchman also played baseball at the professional level. Casey attended Seminole High School, where he played under head coach Jeff Pincus. His impressive record caught the attention of the Anaheim Angels, who selected him in the first round of the 2001 Major League Baseball (MLB) draft.
After beginning his professional career in the minors, Kotchman made his MLB debut for the Angels on May 9, 2004, against the Oakland Athletics. He quickly established himself as a reliable first baseman, with a smooth glove and powerful swing. He spent four seasons with the Angels before being traded to the Atlanta Braves in 2008. He continued to perform well with the Braves, before being traded to the Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners, Tampa Bay Rays, Miami Marlins, and Cleveland Indians in subsequent seasons.
In total, Kotchman played 1,113 MLB games over 10 seasons, compiling a .260 batting average, 71 home runs, and 385 RBIs. While his career was not marked by any individual awards or accolades, he was widely respected for his consistency and work ethic on the field.
