Chad Curtis Autographs
Chad Curtis was an American professional baseball outfielder who played for major league clubs between 1992 and 2001. He was born on November 6, 1968, in Marion, Indiana, and attended Mt. Vernon High School where he played baseball, basketball, and football. Curtis excelled in baseball and was selected by the California Angels in the 45th round of the 1986 Major League Baseball draft.
After spending four years in the Angels' minor league system, Curtis made his major league debut in 1992. He initially played for the Angels before eventually moving to the Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Dodgers and Texas Rangers. Throughout his baseball career, Curtis had an impressive record with a .264 batting average, 101 home runs, 461 RBI's, and 324 stolen bases. In 1998, he even hit two home runs in the World Series, playing for the New York Yankees against the San Diego Padres.
Curtis retired from baseball in 2001, and in the years since, he has remained involved in the sport as both a coach and commentator. However, in 2012, he was convicted of sexually assaulting teenage girls during his time as a high school volunteer coach. Curtis was sentenced to seven to 15 years in prison and is currently incarcerated. Despite his legal troubles, Curtis's legacy as a talented baseball player remains, and many still admire his achievements on the field.
