Charlie Finley was an American businessman and Major League Baseball owner who was born on February 22, 1918, in Ensley, Alabama. Finley became famous for his unorthodox approach to managing his baseball team, the Oakland Athletics. He was known for introducing new concepts such as orange baseballs, night games, and colorful uniforms into the sport.
