Charlie Moore Autographs
Charlie Moore is a former professional baseball player who spent 12 seasons in the Major Leagues from 1973 to 1986. Born on November 13, 1953, in Birmingham, Alabama, Moore grew up playing baseball and eventually made his way onto the field for the University of Miami. In 1971, he was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the first round (eighth overall) of the Major League Baseball Draft.
Moore made his MLB debut on June 27, 1973, and quickly established himself as a versatile player, capable of playing multiple positions including catcher, outfielder, and designated hitter. He played the majority of his career with the Brewers, where he was known for his speed on the basepaths and his solid defensive skills in the outfield. In 1983, he was traded to the San Francisco Giants where he finished his career in 1986.
Throughout his career, Moore had a batting average of .261 with 35 home runs, 372 runs batted in, and 110 stolen bases. He was also a two-time All-Star in 1978 and 1980. Today, Moore is also known for his work as a television personality, hosting the fishing and outdoor show Charlie Moore Outdoors. Despite being retired from baseball, his impact on the sport and his versatility on the field make him a memorable figure in the history of the game.
