After graduating from high school in Canada, Seddon enrolled at the College of the Canyons in California, where he continued to pursue his baseball career. During his time at this school, Seddon distinguished himself as one of the top pitchers in the region, garnering a number of accolades and awards for his impressive performances on the mound. This led to his being selected in the 5th round of the 2004 Major League Baseball draft by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, beginning his professional career.

Over the course of his career, Seddon played for a number of different teams and leagues, including playing for the Seattle Mariners, the Oakland Athletics, and the Miami Marlins. Despite facing numerous challenges and setbacks along the way, Seddon remained dedicated to his craft and continued to work hard to improve his game. Today, he is regarded as one of the most successful and accomplished Canadian baseball players of all time, and his legacy as a hard-working and talented athlete continues to inspire young players around the world.
