Cliff Floyd is a retired American professional baseball player. He was born on December 5, 1972 in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Floyd started his baseball career at Thornwood High School in South Holland, Illinois. He was a great athlete in high school and was scouted by many colleges and universities. Floyd made his debut in the MLB in 1993 and played for the Montreal Expos for four seasons. He later played for several other teams such as the Florida Marlins, the Boston Red Sox, the New York Mets, the Chicago Cubs, and the Tampa Bay Rays. Floyd was a skilled outfielder and a consistent hitter.
