Cotton Nash Autograph

Cotton Nash, born in 1942 in Jersey City, New Jersey, was an American basketball and baseball player. Nash played baseball while attending the University of Kentucky, where he became one of the greatest athletes in the school’s history. Nash was selected in the third round of the 1960 MLB draft by the Chicago White Sox. He played in the minor leagues for two seasons before making his major league debut in 1962. Nash played in 61 games for the White Sox in 1962, batting .218 with seven home runs and 25 RBI. He was then traded to the Minnesota Twins where he played for two seasons before finishing his baseball career with the Milwaukee Brewers in 1965.

Despite a short career, Nash was known for his ability to hit the ball hard and far. In 1964, he hit five home runs in just 23 games for the Twins. He finished his career with a .220 batting average, 10 home runs, and 35 RBI. After retiring from baseball, Nash went on to work in broadcasting and sales.
