Craig Brazell Autographs
Craig Brazell is a former American professional baseball player who played in the United States, Korea and Japan. Born on May 10, 1980 in Montgomery, Alabama, he began his baseball career at Jefferson Davis High School in Montgomery where he was a standout player with numerous accolades. Brazell was picked up by the New York Mets in the eighth round of the 1998 Major League Baseball draft as an outfielder.
Brazell worked his way through the Mets’ minor league system and made his Major League debut on April 15, 2004, hitting a home run in his very first game. He went on to play parts of two seasons with the Mets before moving onto the Kansas City Royals in 2006. In the same year, he hit a grand slam off Hideo Nomo of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, his first big league hit with the Royals. Brazell played for two more teams before landing in Japan in 2009, where he played for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp for five seasons until 2013. He later went on to play in Korea in 2014 and played for the LG Twins for two seasons.
Over the course of his baseball career, Brazell was known for his powerful hitting and longevity in the game. He has also been recognized for his contributions to the Japanese and Korean baseball leagues, earning All-Star honors and setting records. Brazell retired in 2019 following his 21st year in professional baseball. Throughout his career, he played in 1,282 games, hitting .283 with 281 home runs, 968 RBIs and a .513 slugging percentage. He remains a respected figure in the world of baseball and continues to inspire young players in the United States, Japan, Korea and beyond.
