Craig Stammen Autographs
Craig Stammen, born on March 9, 1984, in Coldwater, Ohio, is an American professional baseball pitcher. Stammen's journey into Major League Baseball started in 2005 when he was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 12th round. After spending several years in the minor league, Stammen made his Major League Baseball debut on May 21, 2009, against the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he recorded his first win. He was later assigned to Syracuse Chiefs before rejoining the Nationals in 2010, pitching in various positions, including starting pitcher and relief pitcher.
In 2015, Stammen became a free agent and signed with the Cleveland Indians for a one-year contract. However, he only played in 12 games that season before undergoing surgery for a torn tendon in his forearm, ending his season. Stammen bounced back in 2016, signing with the San Diego Padres, where he established himself as one of the most reliable relievers in the league. He played 59 games that year, registering an impressive 2.89 earned run average (ERA) and 60 strikeouts in 80 innings pitched.
Currently, Craig Stammen is still an active baseball player, playing in the Major Leauge Baseball (MLB) for the San Diego Padres. He has made over 550 career appearances, delivering over 530 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.63. In his career, Stammen has had many accomplishments, including winning the 2019 NL Reliever of the Month in June, registering a 0.55 ERA in 16 1/3 innings. Stammen remains an iconic figure in the history of Major League Baseball, characterised by his unmatched consistency and tenacity on the mound.
