Curt Ford

Curt Ford is a former Major League Baseball outfielder who played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Baltimore Orioles during his six-year career. Born on October 18, 1960, in Jackson, Mississippi, Ford was raised in Jackson and attended Jackson State University. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 15th round of the 1981 MLB Draft, and made his debut for the Cardinals in 1985, playing in 87 games as a rookie. More about Curt Ford

During his time with the Cardinals, Ford demonstrated his strong defensive skills, finishing his first season with a .994 fielding percentage. He also helped the team reach the 1985 World Series, although they lost to the Kansas City Royals in seven games. Ford's final season with the Cardinals, in 1988, was his most productive, as he batted .284 with 26 stolen bases.

After leaving the Cardinals, Ford spent two seasons with the Baltimore Orioles, playing in 40 games in 1989 and 11 games in 1990. He was later released by the Orioles in the middle of the 1990 season, which marked the end of his MLB career.
