Hudson's talent as a pitcher didn't go unnoticed, and he was selected by the Cardinals in the 2016 MLB draft. He began his professional career pitching for Class A Advanced Palm Beach and then moved up to the Double-A Springfield Cardinals in June 2017. Hudson was called up to the Major League in July 2018 and made his debut as a reliever against the Cincinnati Reds. In 2019, he played his first full season with the Cardinals and made history by setting a team record for most wins by a rookie pitcher. Throughout his career, Hudson emerged as a reliable starting pitcher for the Cardinals, earning himself a spot as one of the team's top rotation players.

Apart from his success in the MLB, Hudson also excelled in other baseball leagues, including the Cape Cod Baseball League, where he played for the Bourne Braves and was named the league's top prospect in 2015. Throughout his career, Hudson has been recognized for his exceptional skills, work ethic and passion for the game.
