Dan Ford

Dan Ford was born on May 19, 1952, in Los Angeles, California. He began his baseball career as an outfielder in the minor leagues before making his debut with the Minnesota Twins in 1975. In his rookie season, Ford batted .270 with 13 home runs and was named the American League's Rookie of the Year. He continued to play with the Twins until 1979, earning an All-Star selection in 1978. In 1980, Ford was traded to the California Angels, where he spent the next four seasons. He had one of his best seasons in 1981, when he batted .296 with 21 home runs and 101 RBIs. He continued to be a solid contributor to the Angels' lineup, batting over .280 in each of his seasons with the team. In 1984, he was traded to the Baltimore Orioles, where he played his final season of professional baseball.

Throughout his career, Ford was known for his strong arm as an outfielder and his power hitting at the plate. He finished his career with a .270 batting average, 121 home runs, and 566 RBIs. While he may not be a household name in baseball history, Dan Ford continues to be remembered as a talented player who had a significant impact on the game during his career.
