Dan Ortmeier Autographs
Dan Ortmeier was born on May 11, 1981, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and went on to become a professional baseball player. He attended Lewis-Clark State College and was a standout player, leading the team to three NAIA World Series titles. He was named an All-American in 2002 and was later inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame in 2017.
Ortmeier was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the third round of the 2002 MLB Draft. He quickly made his way up the ranks of the Giants organization, playing for minor league teams such as the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes and the San Jose Giants. In 2005, he was named the Giants' minor league player of the year and was called up to the major leagues the following year.
Ortmeier played for the Giants from 2005 to 2008, mainly serving as a first baseman and outfielder. He played in 108 games, hitting six home runs and batting in 33 RBIs. After being released by the Giants in 2008, Ortmeier played for minor league teams in the Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies organizations before retiring from professional baseball in 2012. Overall, Ortmeier had a successful baseball career and will always be remembered for his contributions to the Giants organization.
