Dan Plesac is a former American professional baseball pitcher who played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates, Toronto Blue Jays, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Philadelphia Phillies. He was born on February 4, 1962, in Gary, Indiana, United States. Plesac played baseball in high school and then at the University of North Carolina. He was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 1983 Major League Baseball draft and went on to make his major league debut in 1986. Plesac spent most of his career with the Brewers, where he established himself as one of the most successful left-handed relief pitchers in baseball. He recorded 158 saves and a 3.64 earned run average in 713 career appearances.
