Danny Darwin Autographs
Danny Darwin is a retired American professional baseball pitcher who played in the Major League Baseball (MLB) for 21 seasons. He was born in Bonham, Texas on October 25, 1955. Darwin started his baseball career at the Grayson County College in Denison, Texas. He later played for the Texas A&M Aggies, where he became a star pitcher, earning All-American honors in 1976.
Danny Darwin was first drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 3rd round of the 1976 Major League Baseball draft. He made his MLB debut with the Rangers in 1978 and played in 11 seasons for the team. He later played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Houston Astros, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, San Francisco Giants, and Pittsburgh Pirates before retiring in 1998. Darwin had an impressive career as a pitcher, registering 171 wins and 1826 strikeouts over his 21 years in the league.
Throughout his career, Danny Darwin was known for his hard work, determination, and resilience. He was nicknamed “Dr. Death” because of his ability to pitch through injuries and pitch effectively even as he aged. Darwin’s achievements in the league earned him two All-Star game appearances and World Series appearance with the Giants in 1989.
