Danny Kolb Autographs

Danny Kolb, born on March 29, 1975, is a former American professional baseball pitcher. Kolb started his career with the Texas Rangers in 1999 after he was drafted in the sixth round of the 1995 MLB draft. He became the team's closer in 2003 and had a dominant season, earning him a spot in the All-Star Game. In 2004, he was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers where he had another successful campaign, setting a new franchise record of 39 saves in a single season. His impressive performance earned him the NL Rolaids Relief Man Award that year.
Kolb's success didn't last long, though. After being traded to the Atlanta Braves in 2005, he struggled mightily and was designated for assignment by the team, effectively ending his major league career. He had brief stints with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Nationals before retiring in 2007. In his seven-year career, Kolb had a record of 23-24 with a 4.15 ERA and 74 saves.
Despite his short-lived success, Kolb's legacy lives on as one of the best closers in Rangers and Brewers history. He was known for his sinkerball and his ability to induce ground balls, which made him a reliable option in the ninth inning. While his career didn't end the way he wanted it to, he can still look back on his All-Star season and record-setting year in Milwaukee with pride.
