Darrell Ceciliani is a former professional baseball player born on June 22, 1990, in Madras, Oregon. He played baseball in high school and earned a scholarship to play baseball at Columbia Basin College in Pasco, Washington. His impressive performance while in college enabled him to be drafted in 2009 by the New York Mets, marking the beginning of his professional baseball career.
Ceciliani started his professional baseball career playing in the New York Mets’ farm system, where he made a remarkable impression on team management. He progressed through the minor leagues before finally making his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut in 2015. Ceciliani played in 68 games for the Mets, batting .206 with one home run and five stolen bases in 101 at-bats.
