Dave Baldwin Autographs
Dave Baldwin is a former American professional baseball pitcher who played in the major leagues from 1966 to 1974. He was born on March 30, 1943, in Phoenix, Arizona, and attended Arizona State University. Baldwin was known for his unique pitching style, which involved throwing the ball underhand. He developed this technique while playing in the Mexican Pacific League during the offseason.
Baldwin made his major league debut with the Washington Senators in 1966. He spent four seasons with the Senators before being traded to the Milwaukee Brewers in 1970. He had his best season in 1971 when he posted a 16-10 record with a 3.16 ERA. Baldwin was also known for his ability to hit, and he even hit a home run in his first major league at-bat.
After his playing career ended, Baldwin remained involved in baseball as a coach and scout. He served as a pitching coach for the Milwaukee Brewers and Seattle Mariners and was also a scout for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In addition to baseball, Baldwin has also had a successful career as a writer. He has authored several books, including "Snake Jazz" and "The Greatest Story Never Told: The True Story of America's Team." Baldwin's unique approach to pitching and his contributions to baseball both on and off the field have made him a memorable figure in the sport's history.
