Dave Boswell Autographs

Dave Boswell was an American professional baseball player who was born on January 20, 1945, in Baltimore, Maryland, and died on June 11, 2012, in Joppatowne, Maryland. Boswell was a right-handed pitcher who spent most of his career with the Minnesota Twins. He played for the Twins from 1964 to 1970 and was known for his impressive fastball and slider. He was an All-Star in 1966 and had a career record of 68 wins and 56 losses with a 3.52 ERA.
Boswell made his major league debut on September 15, 1964, with the Minnesota Twins. In 1966, he had his best season, finishing with a record of 20-12 and a 3.23 ERA. He was selected to the All-Star Game that year and finished fifth in the American League Cy Young Award voting. Boswell was also a part of the Twins team that won the American League Championship in 1969. In the World Series that year, he started Game 3 and pitched 8.1 innings, giving up only two runs in a 3-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.
Despite his success on the field, Boswell struggled with injuries throughout his career, which ultimately led to his retirement from baseball in 1971 at the age of 26. After retiring from baseball, he went on to run a successful insurance business. Boswell passed away in 2012 at the age of 67 due to complications from a staph infection. He will always be remembered as one of the most talented pitchers in Minnesota Twins history.
