Giusti began his professional career with the Houston Colt .45s organization in 1962, but it wasn't until he moved to the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1967 that he truly found his groove. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the best pitchers in the league, thanks to his dazzling curveball and his unwavering ability to execute under pressure. In 1971, Giusti helped lead the Pirates to a championship win over the Baltimore Orioles, pitching in three of the seven World Series games.

Throughout his 15-year career, Giusti racked up an impressive record of 100-93, with an ERA of 3.60. Despite his consistent success, however, he was never awarded a Cy Young, largely due to injuries. Nevertheless, Giusti will always be remembered as one of the standout players of his era and a true legend of the game. Read even more about Dave Giusti at Wikipedia
