Dave Nicholson Autographs

Dave Nicholson was a professional baseball player who was known for his impressive power hitting abilities. Born on August 29, 1941, in Eau Gallie, Florida, Nicholson attended Melbourne High School where he played both football and baseball. However, it was his skills in baseball that caught the attention of the major leagues. In 1959, he was signed as an amateur free agent by the Baltimore Orioles.
Nicholson played his first MLB game on September 10, 1960, against the Chicago White Sox. In the same season, he hit four home runs and batted .211 in 19 at-bats. Nicholson played for various teams throughout his career including the Chicago Cubs, Houston Colt .45s, and the Atlanta Braves. He was known for his powerful hitting, but his strikeout rates were also high. Nicholson struggled with injuries towards the end of his career and ultimately retired in 1968.
Despite the brevity of his career, Nicholson left a mark on the game of baseball. He hit a total of 61 home runs, and while his career batting average was .211, he was still considered a formidable opponent. Nicholson's power and presence on the field earned him a place in baseball history, and he inspired many young players to strive for excellence on the diamond.
