Dave Niehaus was an American sportscaster best known for his work with the Seattle Mariners. Born on February 19th, 1935, Niehaus grew up in Princeton, Indiana, and developed a passion for sports at an early age. He attended Indiana University, where he was the voice of the Hoosiers football and basketball teams. After college, Niehaus worked as a radio announcer for the Cincinnati Reds and then the California Angels. In 1977, he moved to Seattle to join the Mariners' inaugural broadcast team.
