David Adams is a former baseball infielder who played for various teams in the Major League Baseball (MLB). Adams was born on May 15, 1987, in Margate, Florida. He attended Grandview Preparatory School in Boca Raton, Florida, where he excelled in both baseball and basketball. He then went to the University of Virginia, where he played college baseball for the Virginia Cavaliers.
Adams was picked by the New York Yankees in the third round of the 2008 MLB draft. He made his professional debut with the Staten Island Yankees in the New York-Penn League that year. In 2012, Adams made his MLB debut with the Yankees. He played in a total of 43 games in the 2013 season, where he hit his first MLB home run against the Seattle Mariners. Adams also played for the Cleveland Indians and the Miami Marlins in his brief MLB career, which lasted from 2013 to 2015.
David Adams retired from baseball in 2016 after playing his last season in the Mexican League. In his five-year professional baseball career, Adams played in a total of 645 games, with a batting average of .280, 54 home runs, and 309 RBIs. Though his career in the MLB was short, Adams remains a respected and accomplished player who will always be remembered for his contributions to the game.
