David Eckstein was born on January 20, 1975, in Sanford, Florida. He was a professional baseball player, mainly playing as a shortstop. Eckstein's passion for the game started in his childhood when he played for the Seminole High School team, where he was honored with the Florida Gatorade Player of the Year award in 1993. Eckstein started his professional baseball career in 1997 with the Boston Red Sox organization.
