David Kelton Autographs
David Kelton is a former Major League Baseball player who was born on June 22, 1979, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Kelton had a passion for baseball from an early age and played for his high school team at Sulphur High School. He was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the second round of the 1998 draft and began playing in their minor league system shortly after.
Kelton made his Major League Baseball debut as a member of the Chicago Cubs on August 10, 2003, against the Arizona Diamondbacks. During his time with the Cubs, Kelton played primarily as a third baseman and outfielder. Over the course of his career, Kelton appeared in 26 games and accumulated a .250 batting average, two home runs, and nine runs batted in.
After his time in the major leagues, Kelton continued to play professional baseball and spent time playing for various teams in the United States as well as internationally in Japan and Mexico. He ultimately retired from professional baseball in 2010 after spending 12 years playing the sport he loved. Today, David Kelton serves as an assistant coach for the baseball team at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, passing on his passion and knowledge to future generations of players.
