David Newhan Autographs
David Newhan is a retired American professional baseball player who played for various Major League Baseball (MLB) teams. He was born on September 7, 1973, in Fullerton, California. Newhan grew up in a baseball family - his father, Ross, was a former pitcher in the MLB, and his uncle, Jay, was also a former player.
Newhan attended the University of Texas and played college baseball for the Longhorns. In 1995, he was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 17th round of the MLB draft. Newhan made his MLB debut in 1999 with the San Diego Padres, but it wasn't until 2003 that he started to make a name for himself in the league. That year, he played for the Baltimore Orioles and had a breakout season, hitting .311 with 7 home runs, 51 RBI, and 22 stolen bases in 92 games.
Throughout his career, Newhan played multiple positions on the field, including second base, shortstop, third base, and outfield. He played for various MLB teams, including the Padres, Phillies, Orioles, Mets, and Astros. He retired from professional baseball in 2010 after playing in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees. Newhan left behind a legacy of a versatile player who was known for his speed on the field and his ability to hit for contact.
