Dean Chance was an American professional baseball pitcher who started his career with the Baltimore Orioles in 1961 in a relief role. He quickly emerged as the team's ace and helped the Orioles win the American League pennant in 1964. He was traded to the Los Angeles Angels in 1967 and had a career year that season, winning the Cy Young Award as the best pitcher in the American League. Chance played for several other teams in the majors, including the Minnesota Twins, Cleveland Indians, and New York Mets, but his best years were with the Orioles and Angels. More about Dean Chance
