He was named to the All-Star team in 1995 and 1997 and helped the Braves win the National League Championship Series (NLCS) in 1996, pitching a crucial Game 4 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. His career-best season in the majors came in 1997, where he won 20 games, the most by any left-handed pitcher in the league that year.
