Gee was drafted into Major League Baseball (MLB) by the New York Mets in the 21st round of the 2007 draft. He made his MLB debut on September 7, 2010, and went on to have a successful career as a starting pitcher for the Mets. During his time with the Mets, Gee had a career record of 40-37 with a 4.03 earned run average (ERA). He was known for his consistency on the mound and his ability to keep the team in games.

After leaving the Mets, Gee went on to play for the Kansas City Royals, Texas Rangers, and Minnesota Twins. He retired from professional baseball in 2019 after playing for 11 years. Dillon Gee's career was characterized by his hard work and dedication to the sport of baseball. He was a reliable and consistent player throughout his career, and his contributions to the Mets and other teams he played for will not be easily forgotten.
