Doug Gwosdz, born on June 19, 1957, in San Diego, California, is a former baseball player who started his career as a catcher at Morse High School, where he established himself as one of the top prospects in the San Diego area. After graduating from high school, Doug attended San Diego State University, where he played for the Aztecs and caught for future MLB stars Dave Smith and Tommy Lasorda.
