Drew Pomeranz Autographs
Drew Pomeranz is a professional baseball player who was born on November 22, 1988, in Memphis, Tennessee. Pomeranz attended the University of Mississippi where he played college baseball and was a member of the Ole Miss Rebels. He was then drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the first round of the 2010 MLB Draft, with the fifth overall pick. Pomeranz played for the Indians' minor league affiliate for two seasons before being traded to the Colorado Rockies in 2011.
During his time with the Rockies, Pomeranz struggled with consistency, bouncing back and forth between the minor and major leagues. It wasn't until he joined the Oakland Athletics in 2014 that he really started to shine. Pomeranz emerged as a solid starter, posting a 2.35 ERA in 10 starts for the A's in 2014. Pomeranz continued to be a reliable starter for Oakland until he was traded mid-season to the Red Sox in 2016.
Pomeranz had a breakout season with the Red Sox in 2017, earning an All-Star nod and finishing the season with a 17-6 record and a 3.32 ERA. However, injuries hindered him in 2018 and 2019, limiting him to just 26 starts over the two seasons. Despite the setbacks, Pomeranz persevered and signed a one-year contract with the San Diego Padres in 2020. While he started the year in the bullpen, Pomeranz was eventually moved to the rotation and continued to produce for the Padres. Today, Drew Pomeranz remains one of the most reliable left-handed pitchers in the game, displaying his passion for baseball with each season he plays.
