Drew Rasmussen Autographs
Drew Rasmussen is an American professional baseball player, born on July 3, 1995, in Spokane, Washington. He went on to play baseball at Mt. Spokane High School, where he was a standout player, earning a spot on the All-Greater Spokane League. He was also named the GSL Pitcher of the Year during his senior year. Rasmussen was later picked in the 39th round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks, but he did not sign with them and decided to attend college.
After graduating from high school, Rasmussen attended Oregon State University, where he played for the Oregon State Beavers baseball team. In his freshman year, he helped lead the Beavers to the College World Series championship, pitching in the championship game against the University of Florida. Rasmussen missed the entire 2017 season due to an injury but bounced back in 2018, compiling a 2.78 ERA and 82 strikeouts in 78.2 innings pitched. He was later drafted in the first round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays.
Rasmussen began his professional career in the minor leagues, starting off with the Hudson Valley Renegades, the Rays’ Class-A Short Season affiliate. He eventually worked his way up to the Double-A level, where he pitched for the Montgomery Biscuits. In 2020, Rasmussen made his major league debut with the Rays, pitching in 15 games and striking out 19 batters in 11 innings. He also played a crucial role in the Rays’ postseason run, helping them reach the World Series. Despite losing in the World Series, Rasmussen demonstrated his potential and will certainly be a key piece for the Rays in the future.
