Duane Eugene Kuiper is a retired American professional baseball player and current television broadcaster. He was born on June 19, 1950, in Racine, Wisconsin. Kuiper played in the Major League Baseball (MLB) as a second baseman for 12 seasons from 1974 to 1985, amassing 1,082 hits, 281 RBIs, and a .271 batting average. Kuiper began his professional baseball career after being drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the first round of the 1972 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut on September 9, 1974, and played for the Indians for eight seasons before being traded to the San Francisco Giants in 1982. He played his last three seasons with the Giants, retiring after the 1985 season. Despite being a light hitter, Kuiper helped his teams win two American League Eastern Division titles with the Indians in 1976 and 1980 and an National League Western Division title with the Giants in 1987.In total, we tracked 347 items since 01/01/2008.
