Eddie Erautt Autograph

Eddie Erautt was a left-handed pitcher who had a successful career in baseball in the 1940s and 1950s. Born on May 16, 1921, in British Columbia, Canada, Erautt played baseball at an early age and was signed by the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1941 after catching the attention of a scout. Erautt played for the Dodgers until 1951 before moving on to play for other teams, including the Cincinnati Reds and the Pittsburgh Pirates. His best season was in 1950, where he posted a 3.14 ERA and won 13 games for the Dodgers. He was especially known for his curveball, which he was able to throw with precision and accuracy.

Despite battling injuries throughout his career, Erautt was able to retire with a 4.38 career ERA, 39 wins, and 29 saves. He continued to love and follow the game of baseball, attending games and remaining involved in the community. Erautt passed away on August 15, 2010, at the age of 89 in California.
