Eddie Zosky Autographs
Eddie Zosky is a former Major League Baseball shortstop who played during the 1990s. Zosky was born on February 10, 1968, in Whittier, California. He was an exceptional athlete from a young age and excelled in both baseball and basketball during his high school years. Eventually, Zosky would go on to play for several teams during his professional career, which lasted from 1991 to 2002.
During his college years, Zosky played shortstop for the team at Fresno State University. He was a standout player and led the Bulldogs to the College World Series in 1988. After graduating, Zosky was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the first round in 1989. He quickly worked his way up the minor league ranks, and made his major league debut with the Blue Jays on September 10, 1991. Zosky played several seasons with Toronto, and his defensive skills at shortstop were highly regarded by his teammates and coaches.
Throughout his professional career, Zosky also played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Houston Astros, Florida Marlins and Seattle Mariners. He never quite lived up to the potential he showed in college, with his batting average and offensive production often lagging behind his impressive defensive skills. Nevertheless, Zosky's contributions to the teams he played for did not go unnoticed, and he is still remembered by many as a solid and dependable shortstop. After retiring from baseball in 2002, Zosky became a coach and instructor, helping young athletes develop their own baseball skills.
