Edwin Diaz Autographs
Edwin Diaz is a professional baseball player hailing from Naguabo, Puerto Rico. He was born on March 22, 1994, and started playing baseball at the age of six. Edwin's father played baseball in Puerto Rico, and so from an early age, Edwin was introduced to the game and fell in love with it.
Diaz began his professional baseball career when he was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the third round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his Major League debut in 2016 and quickly established himself as one of the most dominant closers in the league. Diaz holds the Mariners' record for most saves in a single season with 57 and was named an All-Star in 2018. He was also awarded American League Reliever of the Year in 2018.
In December 2018, Edwin Diaz was traded to the New York Mets, where he continued his success as a closer. He recorded 26 saves for the Mets in his first season in New York. Despite a rough start to the 2020 season, Diaz bounced back to finish the season strong, proving he is still one of the top relievers in the league. Edwin Diaz is known for his ability to throw a fastball over 100 mph, as well as his effective slider and changeup pitches. Diaz is expected to continue his successful career in baseball for many years to come.
