Eric Gagne Autographs
Eric Gagne is a Canadian former professional baseball player who played as a relief pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) for 10 seasons. Born on January 7, 1976, in Montreal, Quebec, Gagne began his baseball career with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1999. He was known for his dominating pitching performances and outstanding saves, which earned him the nickname "Game Over."
Gagne's best years in baseball were between 2002 and 2004 when he was the National League's top closer with the Dodgers, earning three consecutive All-Star selections and the Cy Young Award in 2003. He held the major league record for most consecutive saves from 2002-2004, with 84. Gagne had a fastball that peaked at over 100 miles per hour, combined with a devastating change-up that made him one of the most feared relief pitchers of his time.
In addition to the Dodgers, Gagne played for other teams such as the Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, and the Canadian national baseball team. Unfortunately, his baseball career was also marred by a 2007 steroid scandal, which saw Gagne's name listed in the infamous Mitchell Report. Despite this, Eric Gagne's career as a dominant relief pitcher still earns him recognition as one of the most successful players in baseball history.
