Eric Jagielo Autographs
Eric Jagielo is an American former baseball player who was born on May 17, 1992, in Downers Grove, Illinois. He spent his college years playing for the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish Baseball team where he was a standout player. In the 2013 MLB Draft, he was selected in the first round by the New York Yankees as the 26th overall pick.
During his minor league career, Jagielo played for the Single-A Charleston RiverDogs, Advanced-A Tampa Yankees, and Double-A Trenton Thunder. He was known for his power-hitting abilities and his solid defense at third base. He made a name for himself in the Yankee farm system as he consistently put up impressive numbers, including a .264 batting average, 38 home runs, and 154 RBIs in 276 games.
Despite his promising minor league career, Jagielo's major league career was brief. He was traded to the Cincinnati Reds in 2015, then to the Miami Marlins in 2017. However, he never made it to the big leagues and announced his retirement from baseball in 2018 at the age of 26. Although his playing career was short, Jagielo will be remembered as a top prospect who showed great potential with his offensive and defensive skill set.
